You know how it is, one minute you’re picking strawberries in a sweltering poly tunnel in Herefordshire at the speed of light and the next you’re sitting in a field in Devon making friends with some sheep!  Life throws these mad curve balls at us a lot. More so to me I feel? I was ready to give this all up but I can’t believe how much I’ve missed it this past year. COVID well and truly put the breaks on the farm sitting business. I had become a little tired of the solitude and was considering a change but have since realised that wasn’t what I needed.

so I’m back! And have found myself in Devon for a long stretch to help at what is essentially a sheep sanctuary for some amazingly kind and thoughtful people who just bloody love sheep!
And dogs of course!Sadly we lost the old working collie yesterday to a fist sized tumor (bastard cancer) so it’s been a tough couple of days. Shepards heartache. Onward we go into the next few weeks of who knows what. At least I’m not lonely on this first stint. Although I do miss my beautiful new flat but I’ll be back to stay in a week or two.

so no more picking for me. I doubt I will return there again. I’ll tell you all about it one day. It had a few good moments and a heck a lot of bad ones but I’m back where I belong now. So here’s 🥂 to many years ahead of doing what I absolutely love!  Farm sitting!
