WHAT AREAS DO YOU CURRENTLY COVER?

I am able to cover all of the uk. I factor fuel and travelling costs into my rates for each job.

WILL IT COST ME MORE IF I LIVE FURTHER AWAY?

Unfortunately yes. The rising cost of fuel now means higher charges for initial visits and travel costs. All taking into account fuel, time spent traveling and depreciation of vehicle.

WILL YOU STAY AT THE HOUSE DURING THE DAY TO KEEP MY DOGS COMPANY?

Yes I will. I may need to nip out for groceries at some stage but if you need me there 24/7 that’s what I will do.

WILL ANYONE ELSE VISIT MY PROPERTY WHILE I’M AWAY.

I will never invite strangers to the house unless we have agreed it with you prior to the sit. The only people likely to need to visit will be necessary for the wellbeing of animals or daily life I.E vets, delivery men, handymen etc. 

CAN YOU EXERCISE MY HORSES?

I can ride your horses providing I have ridden them before your departure with you present so I’m familiar with their personality. Lunging and long reining is always available. I do charge a higher rate for these services. I’ll never ride out in windy or foggy/icy weather.

CAN YOU LOOK AFTER MY DAIRY FARM?

I have never worked on a dairy farm But I’m more than happy to learn and assist with one in future if needed.

WILL I NEED TO LEAVE YOU FOOD?

You are not expected to leave me anything more than the bare essentials if possible. Any food left for me is greatly appreciated. I’ll make sure to use up anything and prevent any wastage.

WILL YOU BRING YOUR OWN BEDDING AND TOWELS?

I will assume that bedding will be provided for me.  I will however bring my own towels but you are welcome to leave some, just in case.

WILL YOU KEEP IN TOUCH WHILE WE ARE AWAY?

I will be more than happy to give you as much, or as little, contact as you’d like! If you’d prefer peace and quiet that’s no problem, you will only be contacted in a relevant  emergency. If you’d like regular updates, pictures, face time chats? That’s no problem too, Just let me know when I arrive or at initial visit.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY PETS GET SICK WHILE YOU ARE THERE?

I will do everything I can to help that animal. I will contact you if you wish and call the vet if necessary.  I will liaise with vets and do everything in my power to help that animal. If it means staying up all night with a sick horse, or hourly checks on a poorly ewe. Whatever the situation, it will be dealt with in a professional, calm and caring manor with no complaints or extra charges. My service is to provide the best care and that is what I shall do!

CAN I BOOK A YEAR IN ADVANCE?

Yes, there is no limit to how far ahead you can book.

DO YOU CHARGE MORE OVER CHRISTMAS?

Yes. There are daily surcharges for dates around Christmas and Easter. 

WHAT HAPPENS IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG AND OUR JOURNEY BACK IS DELAYED?

As I’m usually booked with sits fairly close together it is not always possible for me to stay on and look after your place if you are delayed by more than 24hours. Please make sure you have a neighbour or local friend who is familiar with the setup should such a situation arise. If there is absolutely no one to help then I would NEVER leave your animals unattended and I will either find an alternative sitter if I can or stay on at double the daily rate plus the cost of any lost future business.
